Teaching English and linguistics has been my passion for many years now. In order to make my classes as comprehensive as possible, I commonly use the student’s native language in class to ensure a clear understanding of the material presented to them. Throughout this process, I have been able to learn a substantial amount of Chinese and Thai myself. This experience has given me a unique perspective into learning languages that I now utilize in all of my classes. In addition, it allows the students to take classes more independently and not have to rely on their parents for translations. Using positive reinforcement, encouragement and enthusiasm ensures maximum student output and participation. I strive to make my students feel at ease, build their confidence and assure them that making mistakes is part of learning. My overall goal is to create a learning environment specifically catered to each individual student that will result in them communicating like a native English speaker. I’m here to help them achieve any goals they have in learning English.
